Something about this image caught my eye (it kinda reminds me of a YouTube thumbnail).

It shows the type of foods that would make lazy versus energetic....and I'm impressed how quickly I understood the concept with this cool image!

Wisdom:

"Constraints Create Creativity."

If you add a constraint (like a time limit)to a task, you'll likely finish it by then.

Interesting:

Complex websites do worse than simple websites.

Customers generally don't care about cool boxes and gradient colors, but what it can do for them.

I like this concept by Namya because as there's so many "beautiful" templates you can buy online for your website...but a lot of them are just overly complete.

Same with emails.

My email template is literally a blank page.....the only "design" is typography!

Picture:

This is a clever business card that makes you look twice at:

The name + website + Instagram + email.....just labeling them. Pretty fun!

Essay:

I've always thought that most copywriters should also learn to make images!

Images make your emails more fun and easier to read:

People’s eyes naturally gravitate towards images, eye tracking charts show this over and over:

Images make content more “screenshottable” and more shareable. It’s easier to share an image across social rather than just text.

Here’s how much better content can be with images, watch this:

See how much more engaging things are with images?

Splurge:

I've run "Office Hours" on Copywriting Course for years, it's where I hop on a call every week live, and people pre-ask questions (so I can research and re-write) and we review them together. It's like complimentary consulting for all our members:

I personally love doing these not just because I get to help people work on their own projects, but because I also learn a bunch!

Here's some questions we've taken from the last 4 weeks alone:

  • Giving advice on what to do for a followup email after an awesome “Heat Pump Happy Hour” email that gets conference attendees to meet. Re-do'ing some of the email for more action.

  • Just launched a divorce and already got 2 paying members + interest in other products! Figuring out next steps.

  • Doing a B2B webinar from a 92,000 person Instagram account, and giving advice how to make the content and re-use it later.

  • Discussing Neville’s findings after scoring several sponsorships for SwipeFile newsletter. Industry findings, strategies, and numbers shared.

  • A great session figuring out the strategy for growing a LinkedIn group of lawyers, and a discussion about the types of clients to take.

  • Cold email asking for promoting an HVAC conference.

  • Reviewing LinkedIn posts to get more clients for WebFlow design agency.

  • "Figuring out if a Should I build my Instagram to 400,000, or focus on 2,000 B2B clients." We reviewed which would be more profitable.

  • "Last email we created in Office Hours got 44% open rate, 13 responses for customer photos, and made sales even though we didn’t pitch!" Warm outreach for DTC company success.

  • Using Buffer to cross-post to all social media platforms, and making formats to convert from Instagram to Linkedin.

  • Creating social media posts out of the many published whitepapers for a public company.

  • LinkedIn overhaul for a GMAT coach, average of $5k contracts per student.

It's super fun doing these....and a lot of members are surprised this is even part of the membership. Come talk to me about your problems (or watch others and learn)!

Hope you enjoyed!
Sincerely
Neville Medhora
